Lake Geneva Old Times Newspaper
The Lake Geneva Public Library has a fairly complete collection of the old Lake Geneva newspapers on microfilm. Once a month Denny Teichow scans through a year's worth of old news and assembles a representative sample of that year into a mini-old-fashioned newspaper. The Lake Geneva Old Times is distributed free to the public at the following locations: Piggly Wiggly, Starbucks, Caribou Coffee, Dunn Lumber, Grandma Vickie's Cafe and the Geneva Lake Museum. There is one complete set for viewing at the public library.
OR, you can view it right here! Just click on the
year to see some Lake Geneva news from that year. These
copies are in Microsoft Word format so your computer will
automatically start Word. You can read them in Word
and, if you like, you can print the copy or use "Save as" to save it
to your own computer. When you finish viewing
an issue, closing Word will bring you
back to this page.
Word takes a bit of time to load the file, be patient.
